How Much Does 3D Rendering Cost in 2026?
"How much does a rendering cost?" is the question we get every day, from architects, real estate agencies and developers. The short answer: in 2026 a single rendering starts at around 150 euros, while a complete project (a residential complex or a multi-image package) can exceed 5,000 euros, depending on the type of service and the complexity.
The useful answer, the one that lets you plan a real budget, takes a few more paragraphs. In this guide you'll find our prices updated for 2026, service by service, with the factors that push the cost up or down. Numbers, not "it depends".
If you'd rather get an estimate right away, you can calculate your quote online in under two minutes. For a structured, tailored quote, fill in the project brief instead: it takes just a few minutes and you receive a detailed proposal.
Render cost or rendering cost: does it make a difference?
We get both questions, every day. "How much does a render cost?" and "how much does rendering cost?" mean the same thing in commercial terms: the price of a photorealistic 3D image. The technical distinction does exist - rendering is the computation process, render is the final result - but no studio gives you a different quote depending on how you phrase the question.
In this article the prices listed apply equally to:
- render cost (a single finished image)
- rendering cost (the full service: modeling, computation, post-production, delivery)
- the price of a photorealistic 3D image
The difference between "render" and "rendering" is covered in depth in this guide: render vs rendering. Here we stick to the numbers.
Factors that influence the cost of a rendering
Before we get into the numbers, it helps to understand what drives the price. At Archivision we assess five main variables on every project, and knowing them helps you read any quote, not just ours.
Scene complexity
A studio apartment with essential furniture doesn't take the same work as a hotel lobby with fifty elements, plants, people and reflective surfaces. The more objects there are in the scene, the more time it takes to model, place and light them correctly. In our studio we classify complexity into three levels (basic, medium, high) and the price adjusts accordingly.
Number of views and images
The first render of a project always costs more than the following ones, because it includes the scene setup: modeling, materials, lighting. Each additional image reuses the work already done. That's why ordering three views doesn't cost three times one.
Starting materials
If you send us dimensioned floor plans, a 3D model and a clear mood board, our work starts with an advantage. If instead we have to rebuild everything from a hand sketch or a photo, the time (and the cost) goes up. In our experience, providing complete materials can reduce the quote by up to 20%.
Level of photorealism
A conceptual render to approve an internal project has different needs from an image intended for a large-format advertising campaign. High photorealism requires physically accurate materials, computed lighting and advanced post-production.
Delivery timing
Standard turnaround for the service? One price. Rush delivery? The cost goes up, because we reorganize the team's planning to prioritize your project. When possible, planning ahead saves you money.

How much does interior rendering cost
Interior rendering is our most requested service. Architects use it to present projects to clients, real estate agencies to sell properties off-plan and interior designers to show their furnishing proposals.
2026 prices for interior rendering:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Single-room rendering (1 image) | €350 - €500 |
| Additional view of the same room | €150 - €200 |
The price varies based on the complexity of the furnishing and the level of detail required. A minimalist living room with few furnishings sits at the low end of the range. A kitchen with specific appliances, design details and particular materials sits at the high end.
What's included: modeling of the room from a floor plan, furniture placement, photorealistic lighting, post-production, high-resolution delivery, and revisions included in the price.
A concrete example: a three-room apartment with three rooms (living room, bedroom, bathroom) at medium complexity costs roughly between €800 and €1,200 for three images. The first image includes the setup, the next two benefit from the work already done.

How much does exterior rendering cost
Exterior rendering has a different price structure from interiors, because the work splits into two phases: the 3D modeling of the building and the production of the images.
2026 prices for exterior rendering:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| 3D modeling of the building | €450 - €1,800 |
| Single image (rendering) | €200 - €300 |
Modeling varies widely based on the architectural type. A single-family house with simple volumes sits around €450-€700. A multi-story residential building with balconies, loggias and facade details can reach €1,000-€1,500. Projects with unusual geometries or historic buildings with elaborate decoration reach the high end.
Once the modeling is complete, each additional image has a contained cost (€200-€300), because the model is already ready.
What's included: modeling of the building, exterior setting (vegetation, urban or landscape context), realistic lighting, post-production, context people and vehicles.
A concrete example: a two-family villa with two exterior views (front and garden) costs roughly between €850 and €1,400 in total. A residential complex with six exterior views starts at €2,000 and can reach €5,000 depending on architectural complexity and the number of views.

How much does product rendering cost
Product rendering helps furniture, design and manufacturing brands create photorealistic images of objects, often before the product is even physically made. Two main options.
2026 prices for product rendering:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Still life (object on a neutral background) | €150 - €200 |
| In-context scene (object placed in a setting) | €350 - €500 |
Still life is the most direct option: the product is virtually photographed on a white, gray or custom background. It works for e-commerce, spec sheets and catalogs. The in-context scene places the product in a realistic setting (a lamp in the living room, a chair in a restaurant) and is better suited to marketing campaigns and social media.
What's included: modeling of the product (or optimization of the model provided by the client), photorealistic materials, studio or in-context lighting, post-production.
A concrete example: a catalog with ten products in still life costs roughly between €1,000 and €1,800. The same set with custom in-context scenes for each product starts at €3,000.

How much does a 3D rendering video cost
Video rendering is the service with the widest price range, because the duration and the complexity of the animation radically change the work required. A 30-second walkthrough through an apartment is a very different project from a 90-second promotional video with complex camera movements, transitions and music.
2026 prices for rendering videos:
| Item | Indicative price |
|---|---|
| Short video (up to 30 seconds) | €400 - €1,500 |
| 30-60 second video | €1,500 - €3,000 |
| Video over 60 seconds | Assessed case by case |
The price scales with duration, but not linearly. The first 30 seconds include the setup of the entire scene (modeling, materials, lighting, camera movements). The following seconds require less proportional work.
What's included: scene modeling, camera animation, lighting, rendering of all frames, editing, color grading, delivery in high-resolution MP4 format.
What raises the price: animation of elements (doors opening, curtains moving), atmospheric effects (rain, fog), complex camera movements with speed changes.
A concrete example: a 45-second walkthrough of a three-room apartment with fluid movements between the rooms costs roughly between €2,000 and €3,000.

How much does a 360° virtual tour cost
The 360° virtual tour lets the user explore a space interactively, rotating the view a full 360 degrees and moving between rooms. It's a widely used tool in real estate for pre-sales and in the hospitality sector to showcase spaces.
2026 prices for virtual tours:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| First station (first room) | €450 - €550 |
| Additional stations | €200 - €350 each |
Each "station" corresponds to a 360° viewpoint inside a room. The first station includes the project setup, the following ones reuse the setup already in place.
What's included: 360° panoramic rendering for each station, interactive navigation between rooms, informational hotspots (optional), compatibility with browsers and mobile devices.
A concrete example: a complete virtual tour of an apartment sits roughly between €600 and €1,000, depending on the number of stations.

How much does a furnished floor plan cost
Furnished floor plans are top-down views of the apartment with furniture, colors and materials. They are a standard in real estate marketing because they help the buyer understand the layout of the spaces much better than a technical floor plan.
2026 prices for furnished floor plans:
| Type | Price |
|---|---|
| Studio/one-bedroom | €100 - €220 |
| Two-/three-bedroom | €250 - €500 |
The price depends on the size of the apartment and the level of customization of the furniture. A floor plan with standard library furniture costs less than one with specific furniture chosen by the client.
What's included: redrawing of the plan, placement of furniture and accessories, material coloring, dimensions (if requested), high-resolution delivery.
A concrete example: a developer with a ten-apartment project (a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom units) can expect a total investment between €2,000 and €3,000, with the unit price decreasing with quantity.

How to save without giving up quality
Working with hundreds of clients, we've identified a few strategies that reduce the cost without compromising the result. We use them ourselves when we advise clients on how to set up a project.
Provide complete material from the start
Dimensioned floor plans, elevations, a 3D model (if one exists), a mood board with style references. The more material you give us, the less time we spend reconstructing missing information. At Archivision, a project with complete materials starts with an advantage of hours of work compared to one with just a sketch.
Order multiple images together
The marginal cost of each additional image is much lower than the cost of the first. If you know you need five renders, order them all in the same project. The scene setup is done only once.
Choose the level of detail suited to the purpose
A render for an Instagram post doesn't need the same level of detail as one for a large-format printed brochure. Tell us the final use: we can calibrate the work (and the price) accordingly.
Plan ahead
Rush jobs always cost more. If you can contact us 10-15 days ahead of your deadline, we work with standard timing and the price stays in the base range.
Use packages for developments and recurring projects
If you're a developer with a twenty-apartment project, or a studio that needs renderings regularly, we can set up an agreement with dedicated volume rates. Write to us to discuss it.

Frequently asked questions about costs
Why do prices vary so much between different studios?
Three main factors: the studio's experience, the final quality of the work and the service included. A beginner freelancer has different rates from an established studio with a team of architects. We recommend you always compare portfolios, not just prices: the difference in the final result is noticeable.
Does the price change if I already provide a 3D model?
In most cases yes, and in your favor. If the model is well built and in a compatible format (SketchUp, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino, 3ds Max), we can skip or reduce the modeling phase. This can lower the quote by 15-25%.
How many revisions are included?
In our studio we work with flexible revisions: we refine composition, materials and lighting until the result is right, and we define the scope together in the quote. Revisions that require structural changes (completely changing the layout or the furnishing) are assessed as additional work.
How does payment work?
We work with a deposit and balance: 50% on order and 50% on delivery. For large projects we can arrange installment payments. Regular invoicing with Italian VAT.
Do the listed prices include VAT?
All prices in this guide are to be understood as net of VAT (22%). If you are a professional or a company with a VAT number, the VAT is deductible.
How long does it take to receive the finished rendering?
Turnaround depends on the service: 1-2 days for furnished floor plans, 2-5 days for interior renderings, 5-10 days for exteriors, virtual tours, and videos, 5-7 days for product CGI. Rush delivery is available with a surcharge. Exact timing is always confirmed in the quote.
In summary
- Rendering prices in 2026 start at €150 for a still life and go up to €5,000 for the most complex exterior projects
- The cost depends on five main factors: complexity, number of views, starting materials, photorealism and timing
- Providing complete material, ordering multiple images together and planning ahead are the concrete strategies to optimize the budget
